Hola, Lovelies!
Today is my birthday.
I am closer to 30 than I am 20, and for some people, this
fact would initiate a state of panic.
However, many years ago I read these words of wisdom –
However, many years ago I read these words of wisdom –
Ever since I read these words, I have taken them to heart.
This life of mine is such a gift, it would be an injustice to dread the years to come.

At twenty-six, I certainly don’t know everything about
myself. I am learning new things every day. However it is important for you,
dear reader, to know what I am certain about (or at least, certain about at this
exact moment) so you know what you are in for as you follow my little
adventure. So, here is a little insight --
I am an amateur foodie.
By that, I mean I like to eat great food and take pictures of
it with my iPhone. Like most twenty somethings, I also enjoy a well-crafted
adult beverage with my friends. In 2016, I set out to learn more about wine,
and I have a journal to prove it. You have to admit, that is pretty legit. I
have approximately 234,983,472,043 cookbooks, and it is no secret to my friends
and family that I have a problem cooking for myself without having a surplus of
leftovers. I tend to make enough to feed a small army, and that is no
exaggeration. Cooking is a form of
therapy.
I love to dance.
When I was a little girl, I twirled in the kitchen. As an adult, you can find me on the dance floor participating in a line dance or Texas Two-Step. One of the best things that I ever did was take lessons with my father. He is my favorite dance partner mostly because he is the biggest goof ball, and even though he forgets most of the steps, I always have the best time.
I am certainly my father’s daughter.
I am happiest when I
am by the ocean.
Or the lake. Or the river. Or the pool.
This girl likes to
be by the water. You should just know that bit of information.
I have a SLIGHT shopping problem.
Books and shoes, people… they are my weakness. I work near
Barnes & Noble and DSW. So, when I’m having a not-so-great day, guess where
I am on my lunch break?
I wish I read more.
This here blog is going to change that. Stay tuned!
I can be found on
social media.
Shocker, I know. A twenty-something on social media, who
would have thought?!
But really, you should check out my INSTAGRAM. Be warned
though… I use hashtags.

So many people dread what is to come…
as for me, I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me.

Cheers!
